The South County Outlaws offers teams for players ages 6 through 14 years old.
The Outlaws is a teaching developmental program. We teach players skills and fundamentals based on the team's age and ability.
10U - At this age we focus on the fundamentals of baseball. Players will learn what is a good batting stance. Fielders will learn how and when to back up and how to play their primary and secondary position. Pitchers will be taught how to properly throw 2 seam and 4 seam fastballs. At this level base runners do not lead but pitchers will be introduced to pick off moves.
11U - At this age players will continue learning the fundamentals of baseball. They will learn the double relay, pick off moves and how to properly take leads. They will be introduced to the run down or "pickle." Pitchers will master the 2 and 4 seam fastballs and a change up will be introduced. Pitchers will begin learning how to pitch to locations based on the batter.
12U - Players at this level should know how to play their primary and secondary positions. Pitchers will master the 2 seam and 4 seam fastball. The players should be able to consistency throw a change up and a curve ball will be introduced. Pitchers should be able to throw to any location. Hitters should be able to able to hit outside pitches to the opposite field.
13U - Players will begin playing on a a 60/90 field.
